HEALTH OF PEOPLE
Nothing Wrong With Water Supply USUAL SUMMEJt TROUBLE The hot weather prevailing during the past few weeks had not brought an increase in notifiable diseases in the Wellington Health District, said Dr. W. F. Findlay, of the Health Department, yesterday, when asked about the general health of the people. Dr. Findlay did say, however, that summer time invariably had the effect of causing an increase in intestinal disorders of varying severity. People should be very careful in covering food against flies, and keeping it cool. Asked if the declining water supply was having any effect on the public health, Dr. Findlay replied that the fact that the water was getting low did not mean that it was becoming dangerous. It was quite all right as long as there was no human contamination of the supply. In any event, the city’s water was tested periodically for purity and there was nothing to complain of.
