Plunket Society Meeting The monthly meeting of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children, which was held recently, was presided over by the president, Mis§ Cameron. Folowing ou a resolution passed at the New Zealand conference held in August, 1934, it was resolved that the name of the Truby King Jiaritane Hospital in Wellington be altered to the “Sir Truby and Lady King Karitane Hospital.” The proposed additions and alterations to the hospital have been resolved upon, the plans have been prepared by the honorary architect, Mr. Gray Young, and tenders will be called for in the near future.
The president welcomed Mrs. T. Gray, who had been on a visit abroad, also Mrs. Botham, a new member of the central committee. Mesdames Sutherland, Laing and Mclnnes were elected mc.mbers of the main committee. Leave of absence was granted to Mrs. C. E. Richardson and Miss Kane, both of whom will be abroad during the coming year. The following subscriptions and donations are acknowledged with thanks: —Per Karltane Products, anonymous, £5/5/-, also paid to central £3/7/6 In subscriptions. Received from sub-committees: KeTburn, £4; Brooklyn, £6/7/7; Miramar, £l2/14/11; Lyall Bay, £ll/0/9; Wadestown, £9/19/6; Hataitai, £4/9/5. The Plunket nurses and the Matron of the Truby King Karltane Hospital submitted reports for the month.
