Tramway Duplication at Kilbirnie Road improvements in Kilbirnie Crescent and Hamilton Road for tramway duplication work, subject to the trainways department paying half cost of the work and the total cost of the permanent way and overhead construction, are to be considered by the Wellington Citv Council when next year s estimates are being framed. Consideration will also be given L o improvements at Orangl-Kaupapa road, sealing additional streets with oil coating, and the formation of a footpath in Wallace Street. Cr. C. H. Chapman said that white the oil sealing of a number of streets had given much satisfaction, there was some ill-feeling left with residents whose streets had not been treated. He considered that some scheme should be devised by which the whole of the streets carrying through traffic could be sealed.’ Even small streets be sealed, and the cost of maintenance would be reduced.
