STRONG PROTEST
Auckland and Proposed Trunk Air Service CITY COUNCIL VIEW By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, February 14. The proposal of the Transport Coordination Board to grant a license for trunk air services between Palmerston North and Dunedin, thus leaving Auckland and other northern centres to be served by feeder lines, was strongly condemned by the City Council. It was decided to ask the board to take evidence in Auckland before coming to a final decision. It was pointed out that night flying would not be involved by the longer air trip, as a modern machine could c easily make the journey from Auckland to Invercargill in daylight.
