The death has occurred of the Rev. George William Dent, aged 62, who was well known as a priest of the Church of England in many parts of New Zealand, and particularly as curate of St. Luke’s, Christchurch, reports a Press Association message from Christchurch. The late Mr. Dent was born in London, and was a son of the founder of the publishing house of J. M. Dent and Sons. Among tlie parishes in which he served were Devonport, Paparoa, Wairoa, Eltham, Brooklyn, Greytowu, and Palmerston North. For a time he was elm plain at St. George’s Hospital, Christchurch.
