I"'' Light northerly winds and fine sunny weather i>revailed at AVellington during yesterday morning, but early in the afternoon the wind gradually turned to the south, bringing much light cloud with it. The temperature fell sharply, but there was no rain. The minimum temperature on Tuesday night was 65,0 degrees. The maximum temperature yesterday was 82.6 degrees, and the temperature at 4 p.m. was 66.8 degrees.
