Wellington Event Opens FIRST DAY’S RESULTS The Wellington croquet tournament was opened on the Waimarie lawns yesertlay in perfect weather. Mrs. Austin, vice-president of the New Zealand Croquet Council, welcomed the visitors and wished them a very enjoyable time durin" the tournament. She also thanked the staff for the excellent lawns which had been prepared.. The Mayor of Lower Hutt, Mr. J. W. Andrews, declared the tournament open.
