Sub-committee’s Report
A summarised report of the sub-com-mittee set up by the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Council to consider remits passed at the round-table conference of barrier delegates at Dunedin last year was received at Monday night’s meeting of tile Wellington centre. Reviewing the remit “That harrier teams should be sent from New Zealand (to Australia) at frequent and regular intervals,” the report states that the matter is recommended to tile council “when suitable competition is available and circumstances permit.” The manager of the New Zealand team to the Centenary Games has been instructed to make all necessary inquiries as to the various inter-State and other championships so that the council may be informed what suitable competitions are available.
The remit “That the council’s rules be amended to provide for the inclusion on the council of two harrier delegates” was stated to be “one between centres and harrier clubs.’’ ... Medallions to all members finishing m the winning team at the national championships tire recommended for consideration.
