One of the strangest clubs in the world has just celebrated its first anniversary. About a hundred 'persons who had been in prison for non-payment of alimony, together with their “second wives and sweetheart’s,” attended the first dinner of the Alimony Club of New York State. Thirty-seven toll bridges are still in use in Britain. There are about 695,000 wagons in use on British railways.
