Miss Grace Rattray is an Auckland visitor to Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. R. Marshall McDonald have returned to Wairoa after a motor tour of the North Island.

Mrs. B. Sievwright, who has been, visiting her mother at Auckland, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. R. L. Hunt, Cheltenham, Auckland, is visiting her daughter at Lower Hutt.

Mrs. S. Kirkpatrick, Mangapapa, Gisborne, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. T. F. Byrue, Opoiti, Wairoa. Dr. and Mrs. Marshall and family, Wellington, who have 'been staying at the Portage, have returned home. Miss Ruth Putnam, Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland, and is at the Hotel Oargen. Miss Del St. John, Nelson, who nas been on holiday at Melbourne, returned yesterday by the Monowai. Mr.'and Mrs. B. Brickman, Lyall Bay, have returned home from “The Capitol,” Otaki Beach, where they have been spending a holiday. Mrs. A. Leslie Macfarlane has returned to Christchurch from a visit to her aunt, Mrs. Charles Richardson, Wellington. Miss Nessie Byron, Opawa, who has been spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs. Cheesman, Eastbourne, Weilington, has returned home.

Mrs. G. J. Penney, Blenheim, is visiting Wellington, and is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Haywood, Hawkestone Street. Mrs. F. A. Barclay, Wanganui, is at Dunedin for the marriage of her son, Dr. Beauchamp Barclay, to Miss M. Begg. She is the guest of Mrs. Thomas Fergus.

Mrs. E. J. Chennells, Fendalton, Christchurch, who has been staying with Dr. and Mrs. F. M. Spencer, Wellington, has returned home. Miss Mona Brien, Wellington, arrived at Christchurch on Friday morning and is the guest of her cousin, Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Gunn.

Mrs. J. White, Napier, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs.-A, T. Carroll, Hurumua, for the races, which she has attended consistently for over 50 years. Miss Dorothy Katz, The Terrace, is leaving for Auckland on Thursday to join the Monterey, en route for San Francisco and New York, where she will visit relatives and friends. Mrs. Leonard Hewitt, Christchurch, is visiting her sister, Mrs. G. G. Hodgkins, Wellington. She will later go to Nelson, where she will stay with Mrs. K. Sclanders, also a sister. Miss Mako Carroll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Carroll, Hurumua, was the successful candidate at the queen carnival held in connection with Wairoa carnival week.

Mrs. Marshall Macdonald has returned to Wellington from Waikouaiti, where she has been supervising the Otago Children’s Health Catnp which she founded three years ago. Miss Standidge, Fairfield, Waipawa, is spending a few weeks at Wellington and in the south. She is at present the guest of Mrs. G. P. H. Davidson, Kelburn, Wellington. The Rev. Mary Inkpen-Hoggan, Vancouver, who has for several months been conducting special services for the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Spiritualists’ Church, is on a visit to Christchurch.
