ORDER OF ODDFELLOWS
Manchester Unity Meetings The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Rose of the Valley Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., was held on January 24, Bro. A. E. Hewer (N.G.), presiding over a good attendance. Three members were instructed with the first degree. Bro. Bird reported on the lodge picnic held on Anniversary Day. The N.G. reported on a card evening that had been enjpyed at Loyal Petone Lodge. Bro. T. Norris informed the lodge that the D.G.M. (Bro. Gooding), was making an official visit to Rose of the Valley, Rose of Sharon, Petone, and Moera lodges on February 7, at Rose of the Valley's lodge room. Bro. Andrews was in the chair at a meeting of Loyal Petoiie Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., on January 31. There was a large attendance, and after the transaction of general business and the receiving of various reports, members enjoyed games of cards and indoor bowls.
