KIA ORA CLUB
Proposal to Form Branch in Wellington There is in Sydney a “Kia Ora” New Zealand Club, the object of which is to keep New Zealanders resident in Sydney in touch with one another, and to entertain visiting New Zealanders. This club holds weekly luncheons in the Pickwick Club. Pitt Street, and during the winter months holds fortnightly dances. Mrs. Stanley Hempton, the organising secretary, who is at present in Wellington, is keen to see a branch of the club in Wellington, the main object of which will be to entertain Australian visitors to New Zealand. To that end a meeting is to be held in the Royal Oak Hotel on Monday evening nest, when the project will be discussed.
