STRUCK BY LIGHTNING
Maori Youth Killed By' Telegraph—Press Association. WHAKATANE, February 2. A Maori youth named Tetawbia. aged 10, was killed by lightning, and two other Natives, Wiki Toko, aged 45. and Huru Teraka,, aged 21. were rendered unconscious as a result of a sudden electrical storm at Tauwharemanuka, in the heart of the Urewera Country, 4G miles from Whakaiane, yesterday afternoon. A party was haymaking when they observed the storm approaching, and the Maoris were struck by lightning while they were making shelter wliares The police are investigating, and an inquest will be held.
