WEEK-END WEATHER

Fine and Warm at Wellington Fine and very warm weather prevailed in Wellington for the week-end. On Saturday morning there was ■ a light' south-easterly breeze, which brought a thick fog over the harbour entrance and parts of tlie eastern suburbs. Otherwise the day was very fine and warm, with little cloud. Ou Sunday a northerly breeze sprang up and freshened during the day, and the weather continued fine and very warm. The maximum temperature on Saturday was 81.7 degrees, and the minimum was 62.4. The tenqieraturo at 9 a.m. yesterday was 77.6 degrees, and at 4 p.m. 76.4 degrees.

The weather wits fine and sunny, with a cloudless sky, in Palmerston North on .Saturday. The maximum shade temperature was 87 degrees. Sunday was fine, with a clouded sky. Two days of brilliant sunshine and high temperatures were recorded at Masterton. There was a light breeze from the north-east on both days. Fine, warm weather was experienced in Wanganui over the week-end. Temperatures were very high. Very hot weather and a light northerly wind continued at Auckland, conditions being cloudy and unsettled during Saturday evening and yesterday morning, when very light rain was experienced. The barometer continued rising and registers 30.10 in. The weather was tine but Tor the most part dull in Christchurch over the week-end. Temperatures were warm, with a light easterly breeze. Ideal summer weather was experienced at Dunedin on Saturday, with bright sunshine and a fresh breeze from tlie north-east. The maximum temperature was 73 degrees. Following a misty morning, yesterday was clear and tine, with bright sunshine, the maximum temperature lieing 74 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.101 H.
