SHIP’S LIFEBOAT
Found Near Hokitika The Director-General of the General Post Office. Wellington, lias received tiie following message from the chief postmaster. Gre.vmonth: — “Mr. D. J. Diedrich, of Hokitika, reports, the finding at 7.15 a.m. on February 1 ofa ship’s lifeboat a quarter of a mile from the south end of Waitaha Bluff, 29 miles south of Hokitika It is newly-painted, witli a blue upper portion and red lower, and is 20 feet long and 6 feet wide, approximately, witli a rope around the top outer edge.
