Miss Effie Brice, Wellington, has left for a visit to Australia. Mrs. F. T. Cowlishaw is a Christchurch visitor to Wellington. Miss G. Turville Petre is a Wellington visitor to Christchurch. Mrs. R. Gillingham, Fairlie, is visiting Mrs. F. P. Taiboys, Wanganui. Mrs. F. T. M. Kissel, Karori, has returned from a visit to the South Island. Mrs. R. Wellington, are in Ashburton at present, and will make a tour of the Southern Alps before returning home. Mrs. T. P. Fotheringham, Central Terrace, has returned from Sydney, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Greenwell Burney. ** Mrs. W. Hastings, left by the steamer express last evening to spend race week in Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Booth and Miss Noel Booth-Carterton, left for Christchurch last evening for cup week. Mrs. L. C. Averill, who went to Auckland to meet her husband on his return from abroad, will pass through Wellington to-day on her way to her home in Christchurch. Mrs. C.
