Miss F. Hall-Jones

The death ot Miss Fanny Hall-Jones, a daughter of Sir William and Lady Hall-Jones, occurred yesterday morning after an illness which lasted some weeks. Miss Hall-Jones was one of those who worked hard for others during the war period, ami though she tool: no special part in organised work since, was always ready to help and comfort others. Mr. William Ballantyne Tlie death occurred at Christchurch at the age of 70 of Air. William Ballantyne, managing director of Messrs. Ballantyue and Co., general drapers. The late Air. Ballantyne, says a Press Association message, was a son of the founder of the business, Mr. John Ballantyne. and was widely known. Hp was attending to business up to yesterday. when he became ill. He was a prominent member of the Methodist Church.
