MONETARY INQUIRY
Attitude of Mr. Lyons (Received Sept. 12, 12.15 a.m.) Sydney, September 11. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, who is engaged on tin election campaign in the country, declared at Cowra that if the Federal Parliament desired it he would have no hesitation In arranging for a competent committee of Investigation into the monetary system of Australia. He had no doubt that such nn inquiry would demonstrate the wonderful work achieved in the depression period by the Commonwealth Bank in conjunction with the trading banks.
