Stranded Coastal Steamer

Sydney, May 9.
The crew of the stranded steamer Nambucea reached Sydney to-day. They report that. Hie vessel lias broken her back and become a total loss. The stranding occurred while the Nambuceu was being towed by a rug across the bar of the Nambucea River. A huge wave lifted her and dumped her on a sandbank, where she remained helpless at the mercy of the big overnight seas, the crew spending a miserable night aboard.
