HORTICULTURAL SHOW
Vogeltown and Mornington PRIZE-WINNERS LISTED Before a good attendance, the Vogeltown and Mornington 'Horticultural Society opened its first autumn show. The president, Mr. W. Mason, N.D.H. (N.Z.), outlined the activities of the society, ami introduced the official opener, Mr. A. G. Cathie. The society's gold medal for most points in summer and autumn shows combined was won by A. J. Scambury. The special prize for the highest number of points in the chrysanthemum section was won by G. E. Harcourt. Mrs. W. Rice’s trophy for the - highest number of points in the autumn show for the ladies’ decorative section was won by Mrs. Aston. R. N. Wall’s special prize for pot plants was won by W. Rice. Duncan and Davies’s special prize for the miscellaneous section was won by W. Rice. The vice-president’s trophy for the highest number of points in the autumn show was won by J. Scambury. . For the society’s trophy for the home sections in the summer and autumn shows combined, Mrs. Everett and Mrs. Whyatt tied with 33 points each. The champion chrysanthemum bloom was shown by W.
