Two R.A.F. machines looping tlie loop at 5000 feet near Grantham collided. and crashed, locked together, yet the three occupants parachuted and landed safely. WOMAN’S DARING FEAT Parachute Jump at Age of 54 Ixindon, May 4. A tiny white-clad figure dropped from an aeroplane above Brooklands Aerodrome and made a perfect lauding. It was Mrs. Alington, aged 54, a widow, mother of six sons, of whom three are private pilots. This was the first of three descents to qualify for a parachute certificate. CENTENARY RACE ENTRANT Ixmdon, May 4. Captain Neville Stack lias lodged an entry for the Centenary Air Race.
