Farewell Party

Mrs. Stanley James gave a farewell party at her home in Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, recently for Jlr. and Mrs. Keith D. McTanley, who will leave for Sydney by the Wanganella on Thursday. The rooms were beautifully decorated with bronze and mauve chrysanthemums, and dancing and bridge were much enjoyed. Mrs. James received her guests wearing a beige lace gown trimmed with monkey fur. Mrs. McTanley wore parchment satin with long green velvet gloves. Among those present were: Jlr. and Mrs. W. Russell, Jlr. and Jlrs. Tyndall, Mr. and Jlrs. Coleman, Jlr. and Mrs. Forsey, Jlr. and Mrs. Blackwelder, Jlr.' and Mrs. Durey, Jlrs. Chalmers, Mrs. Armour, Misses Betty Russell, Olive Rich, Messrs.. C. Howarth (Jamaica), W. Kiddle, J. Paris.

Farewell Evening. A pleasant evening was spent at the residence of Mrs. I-L Baker, Tyne Street, Island Bay, on Saturday, the occasion being a farewell to her sister-in-law, Mrs. TV. Barrowman, who leaves for England by the Rangitane from Auckland on Wednesday, accompanied by Mrs. Torkington, of Miramar. Among those present was Jlrs. Barrowman’s sister-in-law, Jlrs. Flyger, Wanganui.
