FLYING AT RONGOTAI
April Favourable Month ACTIVITIES OF TRAINEES Full advantage of the favourable weather conditions during the greater part of last month was taken by trainees at Rongotai, 111 hours 25 minutes being the total flying time for the Wellington Aero Club machines during April, At present 14 pupils are receiving instruction at Rongotai, and 54 trainees have passed the test for their A license since July 1, 1931, the total number of pilots traineepto date by the club being 68. The following trainees have completed their dual training, and are now undergoing solo instruction before sitting for their tickets: —Messrs. J. Hetherington, A. Hyams, and H. Bethune. In addition, the following members are undergoing dual instruction :—Miss McKinnon, Messrs. R. Harland, H. Edwards, A. Prichard, H. Wilton, A. Bennett, L. Higgins, and J. Hope.
