LABOUR CANDIDATES
Raglan, Christchurch North An announcement that Mr. W. Lee Martin had been chosen as official Labour candidate for the Raglan seat at the next general election was made yesterday 7 by the head office of the New Zealand Labour Party. Mr. Martin won the Raglan seat at a by-election in 1927 after the death of the Hon. R. F. Bollard, held it at the general election in 1928, but was defeated by Mr. D. S. Reid in 1931. It was also announced that Mr. R. McFarlane had been chosen as the official Labour candidate for Christchurch North.
