An Auckland Function A lovely autumn day imide the garden parly given by their Excellencies the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe in tiie grounds of Government House, Auckland, on Thursday last, one of the most brilliant functions yet held,.says the “Star.” The garden looked most, attractive. Her Excellency, Lady Bledisloe, Wore a frock of the palest blue georgette and luce with ribbon sash in deep mauve shades. The skirt was inlet with pleats of lace,’ and tiie sleeves, which were short, had slight puffs. A hat of filigree straw was worn. Viscountess Long wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine patterned in red, pale green ami citron in floral design, and white hat trimmed with flowers. Lady Day was in a frock of black satin, relieved with touches of white, white tulle scarf, and small - black hat. Airs. R. 0. Hermon, of Ireland, who is a guest at Government House, had on a frock of pastel pink Shantung, and white hat banded with pastel blue.
