SECRETS OF THE ANCIENTS. Sir Wallis Budge, formerly keeper of the mummies in the British Museum, and one of the greatest authorities on Old Egypt and Chaldea, told an interviewer in London recently that he had discoverered the secrets of the ancients. He said he had ,spent 26 years investigating in the East, and that he had deciphered passages found in the Pyramids and carved on tablets. These secrets, Sir Wallis said, wore never known by the mass of the peopleThey were passed on from the masters to those who had gone through a severe initiation, and probably his discoveries would not bo known to more than a few men. His experiences in Africa and the East, he said, had convinced him that there were men there who exercised powers that the average man could not use, and this had led him to continue his investigations.
