Fight Which Started Riots Perth, March 16. Claudio Mattaboni was acquitted on a charge of the manslaughter of Edward Jordan at Kalgoorlie in the fight which led to the goldfield Hots in which two men were killed, three shot, many others injured, and damage done by burning and looting which totalled over £70,000. The evidence showed that Mattaboni and Jordan were engaged in a fair fight. No weapons were used.
