The recorded rainfall for the Kereru district during the month of February, 12.08im, was the greatest experienced during any month for the past thirteen years, fleoording to the records of Mr. F. B. Logan, The fact that such record rainfall should have occurred during February is in itself astonishing, and in the circumstances Hawke’s Bay may consider itself fortunate that more extensive floods did not take place.
