GAOL FOR THEFT
Offences at Wellington By Telegraph—Press Association. ClirLstchurch, March 16. Sentence of six months’ Imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on John Bullers McKenzie, aged 31, by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Police Court this morning. McKenzie pleaded guilty to the theft of a rug, a pair of binoculars, an overcoat, a bottle of whisky, and two bottles of wine from John Francis Kellett. The offence occurred at Wellington. The chief detective said that MeKenzie was sentenced to three years’ reformative detention in 1928 on charges o£ obtaining credit by fraud.
