To Christchurch and back in 1 hour. 40 minutes each way was the record of the Wellington Aero Club’s Waco machine yesterday. Piloted by Flight-Lieutenant G. B. Bolt, it left Rongotai at 10 a.m. yesterday, with Miss Hoglund as passenger. and landed at Sockburn aerodrome at noon. The patient in the fligh + to Wellington was a flying member of theclub who had been seriously ill in Christchurch and was anxious to be at home for Christmas. He was taken to the aerodrome by the ambulance at Christchurch, and after the arrival at Wellington, at 3.10 p.m., was conveyed to his home by the Free Ambulance.
