SHARP DENIAL
Prices of New Zealand
Butter
(Received December 14, 9.15 p.m.)
’ London, December 14.
Mr. H. T. Drew, in a letter to the “Daily Telegraph,” sharply denies that New Zealand butter is selling in London at 7d while the price in the Dominion is 1/3. As a matter of fact, he says, butter of equivalent quality is selling at the same price in New Zealand as in London, retail prices in New Zealand being ruled entirely by London prices. Furthermore, there was no dumping of Dominion butter and cheese, as the Board of Trade returns prove.
