When the Prince of Wales, as patron of the National Council of Social Services, began a three days’ tour of York shire at Hull to-day. he was given an enthusiastic welcome by unemployed men of-the city, four of whose clubs be visited. In these clubs he inspected the men’s activities and talked to them with an entire absence of-formallty on a variety of subjects. The Prince also visited a handicraft centre for crippled children. Afterwards he drove to Beverly to visit the hostel where unemployed boys receive agricultural training and then went on to York where he visited more unemployed centres and onened a boys’ club.
