“Experience during the last few years has demonstrated that the output from the Otago Dental School has not been too great, even in view of the very serious economic conditions prevailing,” stated the Director of the Dental School, Dr. R. B. Dodds, in his annual report to the University Council. “The supply has apparently met the wastage quite adequately, without in any way overcrowding the profession. I would go further and say that occasionally we have had'difficulty in supplying young graduates when wanted, and I am justified in stating that the, outlook, for the profession of dentistry in this 'country appears reasonably bright.” .
