ALEXANDRA HOME
Mrs. T. E. Corkill presided over the monthly meeting of the Alexandra Home Committee, when there were present: Mesdames Hempton,' Watt,McVicar, Martin, Smith, Gill, Shirer,. and Miss Fraser. The matron reported that there were 37 adults and 26 infants in t>he home, and that there had been 2S confinements. There were. 150 attendances at the ante-natal clinic. The matron acknowledged with thanks the following gifts Condensed milk and confectionery, Nestle’s Ltd.; old linen, Mrs. Kemp and a friend, Upper Hutt': ham, Mr. E. Mlles, butcher: magazines, Mrs. E. B. Nees; babies’ vests, Mrs. Bethune; Christian Science literature, a friend; cost of painting two door£, Mrs. Guise.
