QUEENSLAND STORM
Fireball and Cloudburst (Received December 12, 7 p.m.) ‘ Brisbane, December 12. During a severe storm a fireball burst near two gardeners at Bishopsbourne. One lost his sight momentarily and was so badly‘ shaken that he was unable to move. The other man was chopping wood and the axe went spinning from his hands; A.cloudburst occurred in the town of Stone’s Corner. - Low-lying streets were submerged and gardens and fences washed away. , Percival Blatehford, 16 years of age, was drowned in attempting to swim a flooded creek.
