Methodist Sunday School ANNIVERSARY OCCASION The twelfth anniversary services of the Miramar Methodist Sunday School were celebrated last week. The preachers at the Sunday services were the Rev. W. H. Greenslade at 11 a.m„ Rev. F. E. Leadley in the afternoon, and the Rev. M. A. McDowell in the evening. During the course of the afternoon service, .Rev. F. E. Leadley presented the prizes to the successful scholars of the infant department. A feature of the services was the special singing by a choir of 120 boys aud girls, under the baton of Mr. Alan Mackie, assisted by a small orchestra. That this singing was appreciated by the friends was shown by the large attendance at all services. On Tuesday the children’s tea meeting, followed by the public meeting in tiie church, brought the anniversary to a successful conclusion. Rev. D. M. Martin, 8.A., addressed the parents, stressing their responsibility to the children. The annual report and balance-sheet showed the school to be in a healthy condition. Prizes won by the main school scholars were presented by Rev. M. A. McDowell, who, in congratulating the winners on their success, made special mention of the fine work done by Frank Bellingham in winning the dux prize. Further special anniversary singing was listened to with great appreciation by the many friends present.
