Cricket Series Continues FULL PROGRAMME A full programme of cricket, tenuis, golf, rifle shooting, and yachting will comprise this afternoon’s sporting activities, The third series in the cricket competition will be continued. The Golf Card. The Wellington Golf Club will play the annual four-ball bogey competition for the Ward Cup on the Heretaunga links to-day. The Manor Park club will play the qualifying round for the Summer Cup to-morrow morning aud the first round in the afternoon. The Mornington club will close its season to-morrow, A mixed foursome competition, in which players from other clubs are Invited to take part, will be played in the morning, and a pitching and putting competition in the afternoon, after which the prizes won during the season will be presented. First-class golf should be seen at Ileretaunga to-morrow, when A. I). S. Duncan and D. O. Whyte, of the Wellington club, will play the Titahi pair, M. Moore aud J. F. Pym. The Hutt club will hold a field day to-morrow. A bogey competition will be played in the morning, and a fourball bogey in the afternoon. These competitions will be open to women and men players of other clubs, and post entries will be received. The proceeds will go toward the expenses- of sending Miss Oliver Kay and Miss Bessie Gaisford to England next year. A challenge match will be played on the Manor Park links to-morrow between J. L. Black (Shandon) and JBurns (Manor Park) and J. D. Mclntosh (professional) and A. S. T. Butler (Manor Park). The Shandon club will play a medal round this afternoon. Cricket Matches. Kilbirnie, with no'wickets down for 41, will attempt at Kilblxnie Park to beat the score of 289 which Midland hit up last Saturday. At the Basin Reserve Old Boys will be up against the solid first innings score of 333 made by Institute, while Hutt, which .so far has 34 runs for no wickets, will finish its game with University, which has a score of 258. Petone will ■ continue, its second innings against Wellington at Petone, where both teams made low scores last week. Inter-club Tennis Teams in- the following divisions will play in the inter-club lawn tennis matches at Miramar: Second division men; third A men : third B men; sixth division; and third division women. Rifle Shooting. The Karori Rifle Club will hold the first stage of the C.A.C. Cup competition over 300, 500 and 600 yards at Trentham to-day. This will also count for the Bertram and’Johnston Cups, and also the Judd and Randell Aggregate. ' £ The Trentham club will hold a practice shoot over the 300, 500 and 600 yards ranges, with seven shots at each. Yacht Racing. ' Races for keel yachts and centreboard boats will be held by the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor-boat Club this afternoon. Surf Club Opening. The Maranul Surf Club will hold its official opening on the Lyall Bay beach fit'3 o’clock this afternoon.
