GIFT AFTERNOON
Bricle-to-be Honoured
.Mrs. R. Lind, Shannon, gave a gift afternoon recently in hoonur of Miss Gwendoline Brown, who is shortly to be married. The room was decorated with sweet peas and Iceland poppies, and Mrs. Lind received her guests in a wine-coloured lace dress. Miss Brown, who received two bouquets, was wearing a frock of pink elephant crepe. Songs were given by Mrs. C. M. Cronquest and Airs. S. Barber. Miss Brown thanked everyone for their good wishes and useful gifts. The guests included Mesdames Thurston, J. T. Bovis, W. Clayton, C. M. Croiiqnest, AV. W. Brown, J. Robinson, T. Moynihan, L. Mark, C. Stevenson, S. Barber, W. L. Graham (Wellington), N. Vickers, B. J. Brann, E. Dickhoff, G. Smith, Misses A. and J. Brown.
