WEDDING

Bryson—Colpus The wedding took place recently at St. Giles Church, Kilbirnie Crescent, of Thelma Annie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Colpus, Lyall Bay, to Mungo, second son of Dr. and Mrs. Bryson, Thornhill. Scotland, the Kev. E. J. Orange officiating. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of opalescent satin cut on classical lines. Her beautiful tulle veil was caught with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a sheath of white roses ami pale piuk sweet peas. The bridesmaids. Misses Jean and Rona Colpus, wore dainty frocks of blush pink organdie with hats and slices to tone, also pale pink crystal necklaces and ear-rings, gifts of the bridegroom. Little Shirley Colpus as flower girl wore an apple-green organdie dress made on Victorian lines, with hat to match, and carried a basket of rosebuds and pansies. Master Victor Johansen, in apple-green satin tunic and long black velvet trousers,. was the page-boy. Mr.yArthur Johansen was best man. As the bride left the church a wedding march was played by Pipe-Majors MacLeunan and MacDonald, and at the door she was presented with a decorated horseshoe by little Victor Johansen. Mrs. Colpus, the bride's mother, wore an ensemble of chocolate crepe satui relieved with lace, and a picture hat to tone, in which to receive her guests, and carried a bouquet of beige and cream roses. The beautiful three-tier wedding cake was made' by her. When the happy couple left, the bride was wearing a smart blue wool crepe-de-chiue dress and hat to tone, also a musquash fur coat, the gift of the bridegroom.
