Vallance, Kahumingi, Masterton. Miss Paddy Gibbons, Wellington, is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hope Gibbons, Sedgebrook, Wanganui. Mrs. J. Linklater and Mrs. R. Linklater have returned to Palmerston North from a visit to Queen Charlotte Sound. Dr. and Mrs. Alexander Wilson have returned to Wanganui from a visit to Wellington, wherp they attended the Jennings-Nicol wedding. Mrs. J. Plrani, Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. W. J. C. Wells, High Street, Carterton, has left to visit friends in Masterton. Dr. and Mrs. Alee Wilson and Miss Betty Wilson returned to Wanganui yesterday after spending a holiday in Wellington as the guests of Mrs. Kennedy, Hotel Cecil. Mrs. W. J. Day, Palmerston North, and Miss Pat Graham-Jackson, Auckland, who have been spending a holiday at Raumati Beach, Paraparaumu, will return to Palmerston North during the week-end. Mrs. C. Ellis, Kelburn. who has been the guest of Mrs. Smith, Napier, left by car on her return home yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Erskine Nicol, who have been spending the last fortnight at Miss Somerville’s house in Tinakori Road, will return to Auckland on Monday. Miss R. Allen, whose marriage takes place shortly, was entertained by a number of her friends at the Elrick Lounge, Wanganui, on Thursday afternoon. A book of tried recipes from those present was presented to Miss Allen, and Miss Warnock sang a number of songs.
