Ulm Starts for Australia
FOUR-DAY DASH PLANNED

London, October 13.
Mr. C. T. P. Ulm left Feltham at 10.30 o’clock last night on the first stage of a flight to Australia. Ulm was accompanied by Captain Jock Allen, Messrs. P. G. Taylor and Jon Edwards, a Londoner, who will be wireless operator. The “Daily Herald” says that “Ulm the unlucky” is out to smash Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's record. He proposes to reach Australia In four hops, his machine being capable of 3500 miles per hop. Ulm hopes to reach Australia in four days and will do much night flying.
BRISBANE REACHED
Kingsford Smith’s Flight

Brisbane, October 13.
Sir Charles Kingsford Smith reached Brisbane from Camooweal at 5 p.m. He was very exhausted and unable to broadcast from 4QG, as arranged, at 8.30 p.m. He received a tremendous ovation. The Premier and Lord Mayor greeted him as the world’s greatest aviator.
GREENE REACHES ATHENS
Athens, October 12.
Mr. W. P. Greene, M.P., en route by chartered aeroplane to Australia, arrived yesterday.
