AGAINST INFLATION
U.S.A. Labour Federation
HARM TO WAGE-EARNERS
Washington. October 12.
The American Federation of Labour approved resolutions to-day opposing inflation, declaring that it would bring “the greatest possible harm” to wageearners. The A.F.L. also criticised some of the policies of the National Recovery Act, demanding more Labour representation on N.R.A. boards and committees; also asking for adequate unemployment relief this winter. The resolution urged President Roosevelt to restore salary reductions to Government workers at the earliest possible time.
