Mr. J. Sutherland Ross, Dunedin, left for Auckland by the limited express last evening.
Messrs. E. Dewey and N. H. Redman, of the headquarters managerial staff of the Prudential Assurance Company, who have been visiting Christchurch, will return to Wellington today. With Mr. C. F. Warren, manager for Australia and New Zealand, they will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui on Tuesday next. Speaking at the annual dinner of the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce, Mr. J. Pearce Luke, of Wellington, vice-president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, intimated that, for reasons of a private nature, he was making his last appearance that evening as a member of the executive of the Association Chambers. He hoped that at a later date he would lie able to renew his associations with the Chambers of Commerce.
