DANCE IN GISBORNE
Poverty Bay Girl Guides
The second dance held this season at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. D.
Lysnar, Gisborne, by the Commissioners and Guides of the Poverty Bay Division of Girl Guides, proved as great a success as the first. It was organised with the object of raising funds for the purchase of camp equipment.
The drawing-room was decorated with Iceland poppies, wallflowers, and marigolds, while in the dining-room, where cool drinks were served, double cherry blossom and pale green elm foliage were beautifully arranged. Supper was served informally by Guides in their navy camp uniforms, and much appreciated. Extras were played by Miss Joan Margoliouth. The guests included: Captain and Mrs. Bongard, Dr. and Mrs. A.
