Newrick, of Wicksteed Street, Wanganui, and Clarence Henry, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Doughty, York, England.

The Misses Hilda and Edna Newrick, sisters of the bride, acted as bridesmaids, the former wearing rose organdi and green taffeta, the latter almond green lace. Both wore organdie shoulder capes, and floral organdie picture bats, and- carried sheaves of cherry blossom. Two small nieces of the bride, S. Benson and B. Symes, were flower-girls, wearing long frocks of green and pink organdie, and carrying gold baskets of Iceland poppies.. Messrs. A. Newrick and R. Davies supported the.bridegroom. At a reception held at Wicksteed Street, Mrs. Newrick received her guests wearing black Chantilly lace and black hat, and carrying a bouquet of cream and pink roses. When Mr. and Mrs. Doughty left, the latter wore a red crepe de chene frock and velvet turban, and red flared coat. Their future home will be in New Plymouth. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Newrick entertained a number of young people at a dance.
