FARMERS’ WIVES
Carterton Branch W.D.F.U.
At the monthly meeting of the Carterton branch of the Women’s Division of the Now Zealand Farmers' Union held in the Wairarapa A. and P. Society rooms, there was a very good attendance of members.
It was decided to hold a “Shop Day” on November 24 and a proposal was also made to have a “Surprise Packet” afternoon at the next meeting. The members brought their sewing and after the business had been attended to, the workers were entertained with interesting lecturettes by Mrs. Ordish, Mrs. Court and • Mrs. Peters.
The hostesses were Sirs. B. Roberts, Mrs. L. Fairbrother and Sirs. Press.
