On the third day of the Newmarket October meeting the following was the result of the MIDDLE PARK STAKES, a sweepstakes with 1900 sovs. added; second 10 per cent., third 5 per cent, of whole stakes; for twd-year-olds; Bretby Stakes course: 6 furlongs. J. A. Dewar’s b. c. MEDIEVAL KNIGHT, by Gay Crusader — Hasty Love, by Hurry Ou, 9.0 1 H.H. Aga Khan’s b. f. MRS. RUSTOM, by Blandford—Cos, S.ll .. 2 Sir A. Butt’S ch. f. FLYING COOT, by Phalaris—Grande Rapide, S.ll 3 Eleven Started. Won by a length, a short head between second and third. Winner bred by owner, and trained by F. Darling, nt Beckhampton.
