FIRE BOARD LEVIES
Suggested New Basis
The Wellington City Council last night agreed to support the suggestion of the Invercargill City Council, that a remit be submitted to the next municipal conference in reference to fire board levies. The proposal is .to, obtain legislation to'increase the propoi-P/i of Insurance companies’ contributions to fire boards, thereby making a reduction in the contribution of local bodies.
