The Reserves Committee reported last night to the Wellington City Council that it had had a further conference with the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association in connection with the payment of the balance outstanding for paving the courts at Miramar. The committee recommended that the matter be left in abeyance until next August.
In giving evidence in the Auckland Supreme Court recently, a company director mentioned that he and his fellow directors held an important meeting on a Sunday. "On a Sunday?” queried Mr. Justice nerdman. It was stated by counsel that the directors apparently had doubts as to the legality of the meeting, for they met the following day and passed resolutions confirming- decisions arrived at on the Sunday.
