WEDDING
De Tourette —Taylor
The wedding took place yesterday at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Mulgrave Street, of Mona, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Taylor, of Hataitai, Wellington, to Armand, eldest son of Mr. A. H. de Tourette, Wadestown. The Rev. Canon Percival James was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of heavy parchment satin, cut on princesse lines, and flaring at the hem. Her embroidered veil of eeru tulle was caught to the head with a coronet of ora rare blossom, and she carried a lovely sheaf of cream tulips.
She was attended, as bridesmaid, by Miss Nora McLaren, whose dress was of peach angel-skin lace, and her pictuiv-hat of pink elephant crepe. Her bouquet was of pink tulips. She wore a necklace of crystal, the gift of the bridegroom. The best man was Mr. E. E. Zohrab. After the ceremony there was a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, very small, on account of illness in the family. Airs. Taylor received her guests in a dress of black marocain with touches of purple velvet. and a hat to match. Air. de Tourette, father of the bridegroom, was present, and his sister, Aliss de Tourette, who wore a dress of flame-coloured marocain. The bride’s travelling dress was of purple marocain. trimmed with accordeon-pleared pink crepe, and her large picture-hat was of pprple Baku straw.
